A Carpenter is a skilled tradesperson who is responsible for constructing, repairing, and installing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or detailed instructions to determine project specifications.
• Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials using hand and power tools.
• Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures, including frameworks, doors, and windows.
• Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures as necessary in renovation tasks.
• Install flooring, cabinetry, siding, and drywall based on required specifications and designs.
• Ensure all woodwork and carpentry are compliant with local building codes and regulations.
• Collaborate with other construction professionals like electricians and plumbers as part of a team.
• Evaluate materials and equipment required for carpentry tasks, ensuring cost-efficiency.
• Maintain and ensure correct and safe operation of carpentry tools and equipment.
• Conduct quality checks on completed structures to ensure precision and durability.
• Provide detailed daily reports of the work completed and materials used.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and document any hazardous situations promptly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications are a plus.
• Proven experience as a Carpenter, preferably within the residential construction sector.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints accurately.
• Proficient in using carpentry tools, hand tools, and power equipment safely and effectively.
• Excellent physical condition and stamina to perform rigorous work activities.
• Strong attention to detail, precision, and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Good communication skills to interact with clients and collaborate with construction teams.
