Job Description

A Business Development Manager in the food industry plays a critical role in driving the company’s growth and profitability. This position involves strategizing, identifying new business opportunities, fostering relationships, and developing comprehensive plans to support expanded market reach. The ideal candidate will work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to align strategic goals and drive growth. They must possess a strong understanding of the market dynamics and have the ability to forecast market trends accurately. Being a key representative of the company, they will also need excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively negotiate and maintain partnerships. A successful Business Development Manager is proactive, results-oriented, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects.


Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive company sales growth.
  • Develop strategic business development plans in alignment with company objectives.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key hotels, restaurants, and catering companies (HORECA).
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to implement effective campaigns that reach target audiences.
  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends and competitive landscapes.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure profitable business deals and partnerships.
  • Handle bulk volume sales and manage key accounts
  •  Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets
  • Analyze sales data to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies and make improvements.
  • Monitor industry developments and adjust business strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and retention through exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain an accurate record of discussions and outcomes for future project planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role within the UAE
  • Strong network and established contacts in the HORECA sector
  • Proven experience in business development or a similar role is necessary.
  • Strong understanding of business dynamics and market trends is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to foster strong relationships.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, are vital.
