Application Engineer – Oil & Gas Process Solutions / Water Industry

We are partnering with a market‑leading process‑equipment provider seeking an Application Engineer to drive technically robust, commercially competitive proposals for oil & gas water and gas‑treatment packages. You will collaborate closely with sales, vendors, and clients, translating complex bid documents into winning solutions that enhance our client’s competitive advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Review ITB documents; develop technical queries, PFDs/UFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, valve MTOs, and bid‐stage 3‑D model checks.
• Perform preliminary process simulations and design calculations (hydraulics, pump sizing, PSV & control‑valve sizing, heat‑exchanger duty).
• Prepare RFQs, evaluate vendor quotations, compile technical bid analyses, and integrate costing for proposal submission.
• Generate comprehensive technical & commercial proposals and participate in client clarification meetings.
• Contribute to HAZOP/HAZIP/SIL studies and provide process engineering input to cross‑functional teams.
• Promote continuous improvement within the proposals function, sharing best practices across the organisation.
  
  

Qualifications

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (or equivalent).
• 6–10 years of process or applications engineering experience in oil & gas projects, specifically:
• Produced Water Treatment (PWT)
• Gas Sweetening (GSU) / Gas Dehydration (GDU)
• Dew Point Control / Fuel‑Gas Treatment
• NGL Recovery Units
• Hands‑on proficiency with ProMax, Aspen HYSYS, HTRI or similar simulation tools.
• Demonstrated history of preparing RFQs, vendor bid evaluations, and cost compilation for packaged equipment.
• Strong command of English for client interaction and technical documentation.
  
  

Preferred Attributes

• Exposure to full project lifecycle (front‑end to commissioning).
• Familiarity with Middle East client specifications and EPC practices.
• Proven participation in HAZOP/SIL workshops.
  
  

Relocation & Mobility

Candidates from within the GCC or India are encouraged to apply. Relocation support and mobilisation guidance will be provided; however, candidates must be able to relocate independently to Dubai.
