Job Description

An Accounts Executive plays a critical role in managing a company's financial health, helping to maintain and monitor the financial integrity of an organization. The role involves working closely with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations and adherence to accounting standards and practices. An Accounts Executive is responsible for preparing financial statements, managing accounts receivable and payable, and analyzing financial information to support business decision-making processes. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial personnel. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and the capability to handle complex financial data effectively.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports as required by management.
  • Manage the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely collections and payments.
  • Conduct periodic reconciliation of financial discrepancies identified by others and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and accounting standards applicable to the organization.
  • Collaborate with budget managers for the creation and monitoring of departmental budgets.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, manage risks, and develop forecasts for future planning.
  • Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts and statutory accounts for external audit purposes.
  • Maintain and enhance financial databases and systems for accurate record-keeping and reporting.
  • Support financial decision-making processes by providing analysis and interpretation of financial results.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate financial transparency and efficiency.
  • Prepare tax returns and ensure tax compliance in alignment with local and national laws.
  • Provide training and support to junior accounting staff as needed to ensure team development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting or finance role preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Xero is essential.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax codes and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail are necessary for success in this role.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks with tight deadlines.
