Job Description

We are looking for a responsible and organized Storekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in inventory management, have strong attention to detail, and possess excellent organizational skills. The Storekeeper will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate stock records, overseeing incoming and outgoing goods, and ensuring efficient store operations.


Responsibilities:


  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments of goods and materials.
  • Verify the accuracy of quantities and quality of products, and update inventory records accordingly.
  • Maintain an organized and well-structured inventory layout for easy access and stock retrieval.
  • Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
  • Implement a first-in, first-out (FIFO) system to ensure proper product rotation and minimize waste.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records of inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, transfers, and returns.
  • Generate regular reports on stock levels, consumption, and stock movement.
  • Safely store products in designated storage areas, considering factors such as temperature, humidity, and storage requirements.
  • Ensure proper labelling, tagging, and categorization of products for easy identification.
  • Perform regular quality checks on stored products to ensure they are in good condition and free from damage.
  • Report and address any quality issues or discrepancies promptly.
  • Conduct periodic stock reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of physical stock versus recorded quantities.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
  • Fulfil internal requests for materials, tools, or products and maintain proper documentation for issuing items.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely and accurate distribution of goods.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines for the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials, if applicable.
  • Comply with relevant regulations and company policies related to inventory and store management.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, suppliers, and delivery personnel to coordinate deliveries, resolve issues, and track orders.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or vocational training in storekeeping or inventory management is advantageous.
  • Proven experience as a Storekeeper or similar role, preferably in a retail, warehouse, or logistics environment.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward maintaining a well-organized and efficient store.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with team members, vendors, and other departments.
  • Knowledge of UAE regulations and guidelines related to inventory management and storage.
  • Flexibility to work during non-standard hours, as needed, for inventory counts, deliveries, and urgent store tasks.
