Software Tester

The Software Tester is responsible for evaluating and validating software applications to ensure they meet quality standards and user expectations. This role involves designing test cases, executing manual and automated tests, identifying bugs, and working closely with developers to improve application performance. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced in testing methodologies and tools.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze system requirements and create detailed test plans and cases.

• Perform functional, regression, performance, and usability testing.

• Execute manual and automated test scripts across platforms.

• Report, track, and retest defects using bug tracking systems.

• Collaborate with developers and product teams to resolve issues.

• Participate in daily scrums and sprint planning activities.

• Maintain documentation of test procedures and outcomes.

• Ensure product compliance with company and industry standards.

• Contribute to test automation framework development.

• Provide feedback on usability and interface improvements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

• 2+ years of experience in software testing.

• Familiarity with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).

• Understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and Agile practices.

• Knowledge of automation tools like Selenium, Appium, or Postman.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and documentation abilities.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Basic programming or scripting knowledge is a plus.
