About Our Client

This is an exciting opportunity to join the private debt team of a leading global investor, based in Abu Dhabi.

What the job involves

• Managing the investment and asset management function for a specific sector/s
• Developing the investment strategy and philosophy for the sectors in alignment to the Investment Committee directives, and the fund's overall investment strategy
• Executing and developing the function's long-term strategic plan and developing the business plan for the assigned area
• Developing tactical plans to ensure proper execution of the investment strategy for the assigned assets and securing high quality investment deals
• Ensuring the development and implementation of the asset management strategy and approach to drive and sustain performance, and ensure short and long-term value creation
• Ensuring risks are actively managed to enable the achievement of the investment strategy
• Driving the P&L for the assigned assets
• Identifying potential synergies between asset companies to enhance returns and create long-term value in conjunction with the relevant coverage teams
• Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators for the assigned area
• Building, managing and nurturing relationships with current and prospective external partners and investors, and key industry players, at a local, regional and global level
  
  

• M&A experience in a bulge-bracket investment bank in a major financial centre
• Experience in private credit investments is preferred
• Expert theoretical and practical knowledge in investment and asset management concepts and practices
• Strong ability to think and plan ahead, and anticipate future developments and changes that impact operations
• Good understanding of different asset classes such as equities, fixed income, derivatives and alternatives
• Ability to translate general guidelines on risk tolerance and financial-return expectations of the Investment Committee into tactical plans
• Lead multi-discipline teams of asset managers and / or deal leaders, ability to guide the team of asset managers on most suitable approach to drive and optimise asset performance, and successfully manage non-performing assets
• Good knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment of relevant geographic markets
• Ability to lead and guide the development of quantitative models to measure investment decisions
