The Lead / Senior Product Manager – ETA will be at the heart of Careem’s mission to simplify and improve lives in the region. You will take the lead on driving product innovation, operational excellence, and experience by focusing on ETA improvement and delay management opportunities. This includes improving ETA adherence, ETA prediction and reducing delays to offer more on time deliveries to customers, collaborating with other teams to improve our marketplace efficiency.

What You’ll Do

Marketplace Efficiency & Growth

  • Collaborate with other product teams in marketplace to define and execute strategies to balance supply and demand dynamically, reducing cancellations and missed opportunities across Careem’s verticals.
  • Develop and optimize algorithms that improve the matching of supply (Captains) with demand (Customers) across all Careem verticals.
  • Define and execute strategies to enhance order fulfillment rates, reduce order cancellations, and minimize waiting times.

Comprehensive ETA Coverage for different scenarios

  • Understand competitive landscape and introduce innovations in the ETA problem space that improves trust and promotes growth
  • Prioritize among different verticals and ensure ETA initiatives that have the highest ROI for Careem

ETA Optimization and Reliability

  • Design initiatives to continuously reduce delivery times by optimizing supply utilization, improving supply and merchant quality, and real time delay mitigations
  • Collaborate with Data Science and Engineering teams to enhance ETA prediction algorithms, factoring in traffic patterns, Captain behavior, and environmental factors.
  • Monitor ETA trends across markets and verticals, diagnose causes of deviation, and implement corrective strategies (e.g., delay reductions, matching opportunities).

Experimentation & Product Development

  • Design robust experiments to validate product hypotheses to improve on time deliveries, marketplace efficiency
  • Monitor experiment results rigorously to drive key product decisions and enhancements.

Analytics and Performance Insights

  • Partner with Analytics and Data Science teams to define and monitor key marketplace metrics
  • Work on enhancing prediction models for demand surges, ETAs, and other critical marketplace behaviors.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Operations, Growth, Engineering, and Finance teams to build scalable solutions that balance customer satisfaction, operational costs, and revenue goals.
  • Act as the voice of the customer and Captain in product and business discussions
  • Lead regular cross-team rituals (e.g., performance reviews, marketplace standups) to align stakeholders around key initiatives and outcomes.

What You’ll Need

  • 7–10 years of experience in product management roles, preferably in tech, logistics, mobility, or e-commerce sectors.
  • Exposure to ML model building, 3 sided marketplaces, ETA and routing topics is a strong plus.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to derive actionable insights from data and market intelligence.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong understanding of marketplace dynamics, supply-demand models, and pricing optimization.
  • Experience with A/B testing methodologies and rapid experimentation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to drive alignment across diverse teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and cross-functional environment with a strong bias for action.
