JOB TITLE: SENIOR ENGINEER - Senior Engineer – Marine Construction (Civil)

Key Responsibilities

  • Offshore - Construction of structures in marine environments, for oil and gas sectors. This involves various disciplines e.g. structural, Civil-offshore Piling, mechanical, electrical, and Cathodic Protection works of subsea structures.
  • Analyze the design of offshore structures to withstand harsh marine environments.
  • Preparation / review of mooring analysis reports, including the size of anchors, tension in the mooring lines, pull forces (required & actual), stresses induced in the mooring lines, sizing of mooring lines to avoid breaking, etc. and co-ordinate with Marine Warranty Surveyor for approval.
  • Experience in Drilling of mooring pin piles required for mooring of the barge installation during installation works.
  • Installation of offshore Jacket platforms and bridges using Sheer-Leg Barge or low draft derrick barge of 1000MT and above.
  • Installation of offshore flare structures using Jack-up barge of 600T and above.
  • Oil and gas piping, EIT works connecting offshore fields to onshore facilities along the offshore bridges.
  • Skills Set:
  • Experience in offshore projects, including field engineering, construction, and completions.
  • Ensuring compliance with ADNOC / PETROFAC safety regulations, offshore industry standards, and company policies.
  • Ensuring the quality of the project deliverables and adherence to QC standards.
  • Reviewing and managing technical documentation, including specifications and contractor reports.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of offshore safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Overseeing the technical aspects of the project, including design, construction, and completion.
  • Identifying and mitigating potential risks related to the project.
  • Coordinating with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Identifying and resolving technical issues that arise during the project.
  • Reporting project status and progress to management and client.
  • Developing method statements for offshore operations.
  • Proficiency in MS office, AutoCAD, Navis software tools.

Essential Qualifications And Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Safety Certifications BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training) and HUET (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training).
