As a Sr Collections Analyst here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in leading and overseeing the collections function. Your primary responsibility will be to manage a team of collections managers and specialists, setting collection targets, and implementing strategies to optimize cash flow and minimize bad debt.

In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of the collections process by collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement collection policies and procedures. You will monitor and analyze collection performance, providing regular reports to senior management. Additionally, you will be responsible for resolving escalated customer issues and disputes related to collections.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all collections activities across portfolios of customers. Activities include establishing and maintaining contact with customers by phone and emails (may include ad-hoc travel) concerning open invoices, looking at payment trends and history, timely escalation and/or resolution of disputes and timely escalation of collection issues to the business Review and Release Orders based on SEA and Credit Risk policy Responsible for the accurate cash receipts forecast on the assigned portfolio(s) monthly Responsible for ensuring collection, forecast, Dispute reduction and unapplied cash metrics are achieved on the assigned portfolio(s) Drive and participate on Cash Calls with Business Stakeholders. Analysis of financial information and/or any other relevant information of assigned customers to assess credit risk and make necessary recommendations to the business Build relationships with relevant business partners to ensure a smooth cooperation between the Collections department and the business(es) that own the assigned portfolios Adds value to the business by consistently improving processes and maximizing cash flow for the assigned portfolios Responsible for driving Unapplied cash prevention, ensuring customer enable automated remittance advices on their ERP’s Assumes the position of senior within the team by supporting and coaching other team members, especially newcomers Ad-hoc projects relating to credit & collections or process improvement might be assigned Leverage Lean six sigma to drive process improvements and improve efficiency. Manager a portfolio of complex accounts

Qualifications

  • Business administration, finance, accounting, or related discipline is desirable
  • 3 or more years of directly related experience (sales, customer care, preferably in credit/collections)
  • Requires advance knowledge of accounting principles and has excellent knowledge of cash collection processes and risk analysis practices. Excellent credit skills required in areas such as insurance, letters of credit, financing, and legal environment.
  • Strong problem solving, interpersonal, and financial analysis skills Goal oriented, motivated self-starter, with excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks. Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills with the ability to deal tactfully, confidently, and ethically with both internal and external customers.
  • Strong PC skills with proficiency in Excel and experience with other Microsoft Office products: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access Knowledge of SAP A/R systems highly desirable. Green Belt Certification desirable.
  • Fluent English and Arabic necessary. Knowledge of 1+ other languages is a plus
