Wood is presently looking to hire a Process Thermal Engineer for ADNOC Offshore Central Engineering Division in Abu Dhabi. Below are more details about the position.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Perform thermal design and rating of heat exchangers, air coolers, and process heaters.
Prepare heat exchanger datasheet
Review and validate thermal sizing calculations, datasheets, and vendor documents.
Support the selection and specification of thermal equipment in accordance with ADNOC standards.
Collaborate with process and mechanical teams during FEED, detailed design, and brownfield modifications.
Evaluate thermal performance under different operating conditions and advise on performance improvements.
Troubleshoot operational issues related to heat transfer equipment.
Prepare thermal design reports and technical input for procurement and reviews.
Participate in technical audits and design reviews to ensure best practices and standards are maintained.
Mentor and train junior engineers in thermal design and engineering principles.
Stay updated with the latest technological advancements and industry trends in thermal
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 15 years’ experience in oil & gas industry, with at least 5 years in thermal design engineering.
Experience with thermal software tools such as HTRI, Aspen EDR, or equivalent is preferred.
Familiar with ADNOC specifications, ASME/TEMA standards, and offshore project requirements.
Experience in reviewing vendor thermal designs and resolving technical deviations.
Skills
Strong knowledge of heat transfer principles and equipment design.
Proficient in preparing thermal models, datasheets, and specifications.
Good coordination and communication skills with other disciplines and vendors.
Capable of producing high-quality technical documentation
