Pharmacist

As a Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective distribution of medications to patients while providing expert pharmaceutical advice and guidance. Your expertise will contribute to improving patient outcomes and maintaining high standards of healthcare service.

Responsibilities

• Review and dispense prescription medications accurately and safely to patients, ensuring proper dosage and instructions are provided.
• Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical consultation to patients, healthcare professionals, and medical staff, addressing inquiries about medication interactions, side effects, and proper usage.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to optimize patient treatment plans, considering individual patient needs and medical history.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medication records, including patient profiles, medication history, and allergies.
• Monitor and assess patients' responses to medication therapies, identifying and addressing any adverse reactions or contraindications.
• Counsel patients on proper medication usage, potential side effects, and compliance with prescribed treatments.
• Manage inventory and ensure the availability of essential medications while minimizing wastage and expiration.
• Compound and prepare specialized medications, such as intravenous solutions, ointments, and suspensions, as required.
• Oversee pharmacy operations to comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and best practices for medication distribution and patient safety.
• Participate in continuous professional development by staying current with pharmaceutical advancements, research, and healthcare trends.
• Supervise and provide guidance to pharmacy technicians and support staff.

• Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid pharmacist license in UAE, with 3 + years of pharmacy experience.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals, drug interactions, and medical terminology.
• Proficiency in using pharmacy software systems for prescription processing and inventory management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate and organized medication records.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions quickly.
• Customer-focused attitude and a commitment to patient care and safety.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards for pharmaceutical practice.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
