Job Description

As a Medical Sales Representative, you will play a vital role in the healthcare industry by promoting and selling medical products or services to healthcare professionals, clinics, and hospitals. Your primary objective is to increase product awareness, answer any customer inquiries, and cultivate strong relationships with clients to facilitate product sales. This position requires excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to convey complex medical concepts in an understandable manner. You will work closely with other sales representatives and collaborate with medical professionals to ensure that the products you promote meet the needs of your clients. This is a dynamic role that demands persistence, a deep understanding of the products you sell, and a commitment to meeting sales quotas and improving client satisfaction.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients in the medical field.
  • Promote and explain the benefits of medical products to healthcare providers.
  • Create strategic sales plans to meet individual and team sales targets.
  • Conduct regular follow-up meetings with clients to ensure satisfaction and address concerns.
  • Attend industry conferences and trade shows to network and promote products.
  • Provide accurate and timely reports on sales activities and market conditions.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to align sales strategies with current marketing campaigns.
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to medical staff and stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems and developing solutions.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge about current medical products and innovations.
  • Ensure that all sales activities comply with applicable laws and industry regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in medical sales or a related sales environment is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare industry practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and persuasive skills are mandatory.
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to meet with clients and attend conferences.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and common office applications like MS Office Suite.
