About the Role:

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Communications, Region Asia Pacific, the role holder contributes towards the planning and executing and supporting the communications strategy, ensuring overall alignment to the strategic objectives of the Global Communications function and the short and long term goals of Borouge, through following key deliverables:

  • As a strategic communications partner, actively provides strategic communications advice to management and the business, preparing and delivering professional marketing communications, internal communications, media and social media engagement and branding propositions, to support the initiatives of the business and raising the visibility of the Borouge brand.
  • Manage content campaigns based on insights and research to increase customer and stakeholder engagement through integrated media plans covering traditional and digital media
  • Maintain company-wide alignment and compliance with global communications policies, procedures, corporate and visual identity and branding guidelines to raise Borouge’s corporate profile
  • Support the team in emergency / crisis management and other tactical communications when required to defend the company’s brand and reputation
  • Build relationships with key industry media, writing regional press releases, thought-leadership articles and proactively securing media interviews and engagements that promote/advance the company’s positioning as an industry leader in providing innovative polymer solutions
  • Collaborate closely with the business units on their marketing requirements (e.g. segmentation of clients, creating and executing marketing plans, developing of marketing materials and collaterals, etc.)
  • Proactively cultivate and maintain positive and effective internal and external stakeholder relationships and actively capturing opportunities for the business, and continuously drive brand building and reputation management.
  • Project manage and support events including trade shows, conferences and internal events to ensure timeous and professional execution within allocated budget
  • Actively involved and supporting new communication initiatives and cross-function projects

This position is based in Singapore.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in corporate communications or marketing communications, preferably within an MNC
  • Experience within the petrochemical / polyolefins industry and or B2B environment will be preferable
  • Strong people management skill
  • Exceptional oral and written communication abilities in English
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns
