The Environment & Sustainability Manager leads the development and execution of environmental management action strategies across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enforce Port Cluster environmental strategies, process, standards and procedures in alignment with national and international regulations and best practices.
  • Set and oversee implementation of Port Cluster environmental objectives, KPIs, action plans, and green initiatives in collaboration with business clusters and support divisions and align with Group ESG Corporate targets and objectives.
  • Ensure the preservation of ISO 14001 certifications through third-party evaluation and lead the closure of non-conformities with relevant stakeholders.
  • Lead the development of thematic strategies such as the Decarbonization Plan, environmental permitting, waste management strategies, construction Projects and the environmental monitoring plan.
  • Oversee compliance with all applicable environmental laws, standards, and regulations locally and internationally.
  • Ensure the effective integration of environmental and sustainability considerations into all stages of project design and delivery across the Port Cluster.
  • Provide technical guidance in preparing environmental assessments, studies, and reports.
  • Oversee the Port Cluster waste management strategy, with a focus on waste minimization, recycling, and reuse.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to minimize environmental and climate impacts of operations and capital development.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of impact reduction strategies and innovative approaches for environmental sustainability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., ISO 14001, GHG Protocol, LEED) is preferred.
  • Fluency in English is essential
  • Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in environment and/or climate roles, including leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience in large infrastructure, industrial, or maritime sectors.
  • Proven track record in implementing environmental and climate action programs
  • Skilled in environmental assessments, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional coordination.
