Role Description: The Logistics Manager spearheads the development and implementation of innovative and cost-effective logistics strategies, policies, and processes. The job incumbent is responsible for the efficiency of the full spectrum of logistics cycle including order management, storage and transportation of goods, resource optimization, inventory management, quality control, and customer satisfaction.
Key Accountabilities and Scope:
Develop and implement highly efficient logistics policies and procedures in line with best practices to offer and deliver timely and cost-effective logistics solutions for the organization.
Oversee, review, and monitor the entire logistics process to ensure it meets objectives in terms of productivity, quality, customer satisfaction, cost, and timelines.
Prepare and monitor budget to achieve financial commitments.
Focus on optimizing resources and determining the most cost-effective and efficient means of transporting and storing products and supplies.
Manage and optimize the entire order cycle to enhance business development and ensure long-term sustainability.
Develop risk management programs to ensure continuity of supply in emergency scenarios.
Provide regular updates to management on projects status, risks, and issues in a timely manner.
Oversee and support the implementation of the SAP system and leverage it for managing and maintaining high-quality and accurate data records of shipments, inventory, supply of goods, etc.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost optimization opportunities.
Support new business initiatives and projects and contribute to review meetings and change processes.
Establish, monitor, and manage operational goals of the logistics team; build and develop their capabilities by directing, mentoring, and encouraging them in accordance with good people management practices.
Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and safety requirements and standards.
Stay abreast with the latest trends and technologies in logistics to infuse innovative practices in the business.
Requirements:
Minimum: 10+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain with 5+ years in managing the Logistics function in a similar industry with regional exposure.
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or relevant field.
Knowledge of Supply Chain and Logistics Process
Knowledge of Logistics Management (ERP) System
Knowledge of Safety Regulations
Managing Resources
Preferred: Masters Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or relevant field / Certified from Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).
