Job Description

A Logistics Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing the supply chain process, ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods from suppliers to customers. This position involves planning, implementing, and overseeing logistics operations such as shipping, transportation, inventory management, and distribution. Working closely with vendors, manufacturers, and internal departments, a Logistics Coordinator strives to optimize logistics effectiveness by coordinating schedules, managing compliance issues, and establishing streamlined logistics procedures. The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication and organizational skills, as they are pivotal in solving challenges that may arise during the logistics process. With a focus on accuracy and timeliness, the Logistics Coordinator contributes to improved customer satisfaction and reduced operational costs.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Communicate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers to achieve profitable deals.
  • Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements.
  • Prepare accurate reports for logistics management to identify areas of improvement.
  • Manage inventory levels, ensuring that stock is adequately maintained without overstocking.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with company operations.
  • Maintain logs and records of warehouse stock, executed orders, and other fiscal responsibilities.
  • Develop and implement cost-saving strategies without compromising logistics operations.
  • Coordinate and resolve any logistics problems or complaints, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee transportation and delivery schedules to improve efficiency and reduce delays.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and applicable regulations in all logistics activities.
  • Train and mentor junior staff on logistics best practices and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a logistics coordinator or similar role in the logistics industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of logistics operations, supply chain management, and best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to predict and address potential issues.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and systems to monitor and manage supply chain processes.
  • Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities with attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with stakeholders.
