Job Description

The role of a Senior Sales Support Engineer is a critical position within the organization, responsible for bridging the gap between the sales team and the technical departments. As a Senior Sales Support Engineer, you will utilize your technical expertise to assist the sales force with the details of complex products, technology solutions, and services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for solving problems, a proactive mindset, and robust communication skills. This position demands a deep understanding of your company's product offerings, as well as the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders. You will play a key part in the sales process by providing pre-sales technical support, developing technical proposals, and assisting in the creation of presentations and demonstrations that highlight product features and competitive advantages to drive business growth.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide sales support.
  • Develop technical solutions and proposals to meet customer needs and specifications.
  • Act as a key technical resource in the pre-sales process to bolster sales efforts.
  • Conduct detailed presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients.
  • Assist in the preparation of responses to RFPs and RFQs with detailed technical input.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the company's product and service offerings.
  • Provide continued support to customers post-sale, ensuring successful product implementation.
  • Work closely with Product Management and Engineering teams to understand and share product roadmaps.
  • Participate in training sessions to stay updated with new releases and technologies.
  • Analyze market trends to continually adjust product offerings and recommendations.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships at technical levels.
  • Attend industry conferences and workshops to stay abreast of new technologies and industry trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a sales engineering or technical sales role.
  • Proven experience in a customer-facing role, with strong presentation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the industry and market trends related to the company's products.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
