Laser Technician

Laser technicians must have a thorough understanding of how lasers work and how to properly operate, assemble, test, recalibrate, and repair laser devices or actual lasers. They have to ensure that all tools and machines are appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Perform laser treatments on patients according to established protocols and physician orders
• Select and set up equipment for each treatment, ensuring proper functioning and safety
• Calibrate lasers and adjust settings as needed to achieve desired results
• Monitor patients during procedures, modifying treatments as necessary and documenting changes
• Educate patients on post-treatment care and expected side effects
• Keep abreast of new developments in laser technology and treatments
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations
• Clean and maintain equipment according to the manufacturer’s instructions
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on lasers and related equipment
• Order supplies and replacement parts as needed
• Assist with training new staff members

• Active DOH License
• Completion of an accredited laser technician program
• Min 3 years experience as a laser technician, with a strong portfolio of work
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols
• Attention to detail
