Job Description

The Key Account Manager plays a crucial role within the sales and account management team, driving business growth by maintaining and expanding relationships with strategically important large customers. They are responsible for overseeing the company's relationship with a specified portfolio of customers to achieve long-term success. A Key Account Manager is a consummate professional with the ability to build strong customer relations through strategic engagement and a deep understanding of the client's needs and expectations. Often acting as the clients' primary point of contact, the Key Account Manager ensures that services provided by the company align perfectly with customer needs, while also seeking out growth opportunities and collaborations to enhance business profitability and client satisfaction.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and sustain solid relationships with key clients to understand their needs.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for clients regarding all matters specific to their accounts.
  • Advise key accounts on effective solutions and practices that meet their organizational goals.
  • Identify opportunities to grow business with existing accounts through up-selling or cross-selling.
  • Develop and manage forecasts and budgets for key client accounts to achieve financial goals.
  • Prepare and deliver regular reports to clients and internal stakeholders about business performance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of client solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profit while ensuring mutual client satisfaction.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of the client's industry, product lines, and market trends.
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts, enhancing the overall client experience and fostering trust.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with clients to ensure they are receiving effective service and care.
  • Coordinate planning and strategy meetings with clients to align goals and expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field of study.
  • Minimum of three to five years experience in account management or similar.
  • Proven experience with CRM software and Microsoft Office applications proficiently.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for client-facing interactions.
  • Strong negotiation skills with an ability to handle challenging situations calmly.
  • Strategic thinker with an analytical approach to understanding client needs and solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts under tight deadlines.
