Junior Landscape Architect (225-823)

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Junior Landscape Architect to join our dynamic team. As a Junior Landscape Architect, you will assist in the conceptualization, design, and execution of landscaping projects, both in urban and rural settings. You will work closely with senior architects and project managers, utilizing your creativity and technical skills to develop innovative solutions that enhance the natural environment, improve urban spaces, and meet the needs of our clients. Ideal candidates should possess strong design and problem-solving abilities, as well as the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and execution of landscape architecture designs and plans.
• Collaborate with senior architects to conceptualize design solutions for clients.
• Conduct site analysis and research to support project designs and proposals.
• Prepare preliminary and detailed design drawings using CAD software and other design tools.
• Communicate and present design ideas and concepts to clients and stakeholders.
• Assist in the preparation of project reports, specifications, and presentations.
• Engage in field assessments to gather data and understand site conditions.
• Coordinate with contractors and consultants to ensure design intentions are met.
• Support the team in project management tasks, ensuring timelines and budgets are adhered to.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the creative brainstorming process.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in landscape architecture.
• Foster sustainable design practices and incorporate them into project work.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, or a related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other landscape design software applications.
• Good understanding of ecological systems, plant species, and sustainable design principles.
• Strong communication skills for both presentations and collaborative work settings.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Previous internship or work experience in landscape architecture is highly desirable.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites.
