Job Description

An IT Support Engineer is an integral part of any organization, providing essential technical support to ensure the stability and efficiency of computer systems and networks. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of information technology to troubleshoot hardware and software issues, configure network systems, and support end-users in resolving technical challenges. Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues reported by end-users.
  • Install, configure, and update computer systems and applications securely and efficiently.
  • Maintain and administer internal networks ensuring minimal downtime and high availability.
  • Collaborate with IT management to implement innovative technology solutions.
  • Develop and document technical procedures and policies for IT support operations.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users to enhance their technical skill sets.
  • Monitor system performance to proactively identify areas for improvements and upgrades.
  • Assist in the management of IT inventory, keeping track of equipment and software licenses.
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain network equipment and connectivity solutions.
  • Work closely with other departments to support their IT-related needs and foster technology adoption.
  • Respond to user queries promptly via ticketing systems or direct communication channels.
  • Participate in rotational on-call support schedule to manage after-hours technical emergencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or similar technical role.
  • Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience with operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
  • Excellent communication skills to provide clear technical support to non-technical users.
  • Detail-oriented with the capability to follow complex instructions precisely and accurately.
