IRIS For Health DBA M F D

We are seeking a highly experienced IRIS For Health Platform Database Administrator to lead and support the implementation, administration, and optimization of IRIS For Health solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in database administration, FHIR standards including FHIR storage, and infrastructure setup across multiple environments, ensuring high availability and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Experience in at least two major implementations of IRIS For Health using FHIR standards.
• Install, configure, and maintain InterSystems IRIS For Health, Caché DB, and/or IRIS for Health database environments.
• Set up and manage all environments (DEV, TEST, STAGE, PROD, DR) with high availability and scalability.
• Monitor database performance and proactively tune systems for high availability and efficiency.
• Manage database backups, disaster recovery processes, and failover configurations.
• Develop and maintain robust procedures for security, auditing, and compliance with healthcare data regulations (e.g., HIPAA, HL7, FHIR).
• Collaborate with integration and development teams to support HL7, CDA, XDS.b, and FHIR data exchange.
• Establish and maintain a Disaster Recovery site with solutions enabling 99.999% uptime.
• Create and optimize database schemas, tables, and data structures
• Develop stored procedures, functions, and triggers using ObjectScript
• Implement data integration solutions and ETL processes
• Develop and maintain system administration scripts and automation tools.
• Create tools and policies for system monitoring and health checks.
• Design and implement system administration jobs within IRIS For Health.
• Perform upgrades, patches, and version management across IRIS For Health infrastructure.
• Provide support and troubleshooting for issues related to the IRIS For Health environment and database systems.
• Create and maintain documentation related to IRIS For Health configurations, system architectures, and standard operating procedures.
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support when necessary.
  
  

• Minimum 10 years of experience in IRIS For Health Database administration
• Proven track record in leading IRIS For Health implementations using FHIR.
• Strong scripting and automation skills.
• In-depth knowledge of high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery configurations.
• Excellent troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
