The Human Resources (HR) Assistant plays a crucial supportive role within the HR department, ensuring smooth functioning by performing a range of administrative duties. The HR Assistant is responsible for maintaining personnel records, managing HR documents like employment records and onboarding guides, and updating internal databases. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the recruitment process by preparing job postings and scheduling interviews.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel records and HR documents.
  • Ensure timely processing of all HR-related paperwork such as new hires and onboarding.
  • Support the HR department in implementing programs and activities for employee engagement.
  • Coordinate training sessions and make logistical arrangements for professional development events.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures with accurate information.
  • Assist with payroll processing by collecting, calculating, and entering data on time.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations through regular monitoring and reporting.
  • Prepare and distribute necessary HR communications, including newsletters and announcements.
  • Manage sensitive and confidential information appropriately and respectfully at all times.
  • Inventory and order office and HR department supplies as needed to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Provide administrative support for performance management processes, including documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in a human resources or administrative role is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with all employees.
  • Familiarity with HR software, databases, and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information responsibly.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for managing multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and regulations, with the ability to apply them appropriately.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
