The Housekeeping Supervisor plays an essential role in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of a facility. Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate daily housekeeping activities within the facility.

  • Inspect rooms and public areas to ensure high-quality cleaning standards.
  • Schedule and allocate assignments based on staff availability and skills.
  • Manage inventory and order supplies to avoid shortages of essential items.
  • Coordinate with maintenance for repairs and troubleshooting cleaning equipment.
  • Implement hygiene and safety measures to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries and handle complaints efficiently.
  • Maintain thorough records of housekeeping activities and personnel performance.
  • Develop and disseminate policies and procedures for effective housekeeping.
  • Foster teamwork and maintain constructive communication within the housekeeping team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory housekeeping role in hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership abilities to manage and motivate a diverse team successfully.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a strong emphasis on cleanliness and order.
  • Ability to handle sensitive inquiries and resolve complaints with professionalism.
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry regulations and safety standards is essential.
  • Proficient in using housekeeping management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
