Job Description

The Head of Supply Chain is a pivotal position within our organization, overseeing the entire spectrum of supply chain operations. This role demands a strategic leader with a strong operational mindset who can drive our supply chain towards achieving excellence and efficiency. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape and influence the direction of the company's supply chain policies, ensuring alignment with our business strategy and objectives. This position is not only about managing logistics but also involves building strong partnerships with suppliers and inspiring a team to exceed performance targets. The Head of Supply Chain will assess and streamline processes, implement innovative solutions, and enhance productivity and profitability across the supply chain network.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies that meet business objectives and improve efficiency.
  • Supervise supply chain personnel and provide guidance to achieve departmental goals.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Analyze supply chain performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and safety standards within supply chain operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand and coordinate supply chain activities.
  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet customer demands.
  • Leverage technology and analytics to enhance supply chain operations and decision-making.
  • Lead change management initiatives and drive process improvements across the supply chain network.
  • Develop risk management procedures to minimize disruptions in the supply chain.
  • Report to senior management on supply chain performance and strategic initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the supply chain team and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a senior supply chain role with a track record of success.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills within supply chain environments.
  • Excellent negotiation skills to manage supplier relationships effectively.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and align supply chain strategies with business goals.
  • Proficiency in supply chain software and Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management.
