Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Management & Compliance:

  • Oversee and manage end-to-end payroll processing for employees.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws, tax regulations, and labor requirements.
  • Supervise payroll reconciliations, audits, and general ledger integration.
  • Manage payroll funding, tax filings, and year-end reporting.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits related to payroll.

HR Operations & Administration:

  • Lead and optimize HR operations, including payroll administration, benefits processing, timekeeping, and employee data management.
  • Standardize payroll and HR operational processes across multiple business units and locations.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and IT teams to align payroll with broader HR operations.
  • Drive improvements in HR service delivery through automation and technology enhancements.

Payroll Automation & Process Improvement:

  • Lead automation initiatives to improve payroll efficiency and eliminate manual processes.
  • Optimize HRIS and payroll systems (e.g. SAP) for better performance.
  • Implement AI-driven payroll and HR solutions to enhance accuracy and employee experience.
  • Promote the use of self-service tools for employees and managers to streamline HR processes.

Leadership & Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Manage and develop a team of payroll and HR operations professionals.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership, Finance, and IT to ensure seamless payroll and HR operations.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on payroll and HR operational best practices.
  • Drive change management initiatives to improve payroll and HR service delivery.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 12 years of payroll and HR operations experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Key Skills:

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a track record of driving change.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar certification.
  • Experience with global payroll operations and HR shared services.
  • Knowledge of AI-driven HR automation and digital transformation strategies.
