Job Description

The Financial Controller plays a crucial role in the overall financial health and operations of an organization. This senior-level position is responsible for overseeing all financial planning, reporting, and control activities, ensuring that financial practices align with organizational goals and industry standards. The ideal candidate will bring strategic insight, analytical expertise, and leadership capabilities to manage financial risks and drive financial performance. They will collaborate with executive management to provide insights and recommendations on financial matters, ensuring transparency and effectiveness in reporting and compliance with financial regulations. The Financial Controller is instrumental in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, playing a key role in strategic decision-making processes that align with company objectives and growth strategies.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee all finance operations including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and auditing.
  • Develop strategic financial goals and objectives aligned with the organization's goals.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to executive management.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinate preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts processes.
  • Analyze financial data and trends for strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Implement policies and procedures to ensure effective internal controls are in place.
  • Manage relationships with auditors, banks, and other financial institutions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and monthly close processes.
  • Identify and mitigate potential financial risks to the organization.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team for skills development.
  • Evaluate and optimize financial systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required.
  • Professional qualification such as CPA, CMA, or MBA is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance or accounting roles.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, compliance, and best practices.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills are necessary.
  • Experience with financial software and reporting tools is highly beneficial.
  • Proven leadership abilities and experience managing a finance team effectively.
