Job Description

The Finance Administrative Officer plays a vital role in supporting the financial operations of the organization by managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, coordinating with various departments, and overseeing the organization's financial policies and procedures. This role is crucial for maintaining the organization's fiscal health, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and providing strategic insights to facilitate informed decision-making processes. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong analytical skills, and have a thorough understanding of accounting principles. The Finance Administrative Officer will act as a liaison between the finance team and other departments, ensuring seamless financial operations and helping to achieve the organization’s financial goals.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage the organization's financial records and accounts accurately and timely.
  • Coordinate and oversee the month-end and year-end financial closing processes efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, standards, and internal policies diligently.
  • Develop and maintain financial procedures to ensure auditable records and transparency.
  • Assist in budget preparation, monitoring, and follow up on departmental budgets.
  • Provide support in external and internal audits by preparing audit paperwork thoroughly.
  • Review and verify expense reports to ensure proper allocation and alignment with budgets.
  • Identify financial trends and anomalies and report them to management promptly.
  • Liaise with departments to resolve financial discrepancies and queries effectively.
  • Manage and update financial databases to ensure records are current and accessible.
  • Prepare financial reports and proposals for further analysis by management teams.
  • Conduct financial analysis to assist in strategic decision-making and forecasting processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in financial or administrative roles is essential.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations is necessary.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills are paramount for this role.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial reporting is required.
