Job Description
Overview of the Role
The Explosives Storage in Charge employee is responsible for ensuring that all explosives, ammunition and firearms storage and processing facilities are configured and applied in a compliant safe manner.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Ensure that ammunition, explosives and firearms storage buildings are maintained appropriately
- Ensure that ammunition, explosives and firearms storage buildings are operated appropriately
- Ensure that ammunition, explosives and firearms are stored in the correct quantities in the storage buildings
- Ensure that ammunition, explosives and firearms are handled in the correct manner
- Ensure that unused ammunition and explosives storage is kept to minimum
- Ensure that an effective contraband system is at place at all ammunition, explosives and firearms storage and processing locations
- Ensure that security and access protocols are adequate and compliant with all Army and UAE regulation and legislation
- Ensure that security and access protocols are adequate and compliant with all EDGE and Remaya policy and process
- Ensure that the consign and accept process is followed when accepting ammunition, explosives and firearms onto the Range
- Good communication skills
- Leadership Qualities
- Driving license
- Ability to write clear and concise documents
- Ammunition and Explosives Qualification
- Understands military operations in the United Arab Emirates
- Experience of civilian ammunition explosives management
- Knowledge of UAE ammunition and explosives legislative environment
- Knowledge of firearms storage
