Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION
To provide assigned clinical program outreach and education to all professional and public entities/stakeholder. Serves as liaison with community, regulatory and other outside agencies as it relates to Abu Dhabi System Disaster Planning Initiative with focus on assigned clinical program services.
To provide outreach education on assigned clinical program care to all stakeholders throughout the state.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To establish and engage in partnerships with community based, public and private sector entities to deliver clinical program prevention and continuing professional education as applicable.
To use current clinical knowledge of assigned clinical program care to develop and coordinate burn education (including materials) for pre-hospital, hospital, industry, educational institutions, members of the community and any other interested institutions or agencies
To provide continued contact with these institutions and groups to ensure access, information, and ongoing education. Educational offerings must be designed to meet the specific needs of the requesting agency / group.
To coordinate the scheduling of the clinical programs outreach education presentations/activities.
Delivers clinical program education sessions to outreach partners throughout the emirate and beyond where required.
Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team and community partners for the development and implementation of clinical program awareness and prevention programs.
Develops educational clinical program materials for dissemination to requesting groups.
To act as a liaison between referring hospitals and the clinical program center to enhance patient transfers. Maintains ongoing relationship with referrers to provide follow-up with opportunities for improvement.
To coordinate and instruct on the clinical programs verification required training/certifications (eg Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Advance Trauma Life Support (ATLS) and other trauma education related training) for pre-hospital and healthcare professionals.
To assist in the analysis of referral/admission data to advocate for optimal clinical program service provision (ie following DoH/National Referral Criteria/Pathways for severity of clinical service required)
Develops core content and manages deliverables for applicable disaster emergency education.
To liaise with integration therapists and develops and implements clinical program survivor social support programming (eg school re-integration).
To develops, perform and present research as it relates to the outreach activities.
To record, reflect on and contribute to continuous performance improvement as it relates to outreach activities. To attend the clinical programs quality/performance committee meetings and follow their processes for quality/performance improvement activities.
Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the assigned clinical center’s internet presence alongside the marketing department.
To travel throughout the emirate and on occasion outside of the emirate for regional or national events where the assigned clinical center has a significant role in outreach education.
Performs other special projects and duties as assigned.
Accountabilities :
Maintain evidence of at least two prevention efforts annually with descriptions of the process used for creating interventions designed to reduce incidence/prevalence associated with the clinical program in the community.
Maintain evidence of assessment of impact of prevention activity efforts
Maintain evidence of at least two regional educational activities delivered in the last year.
Maintain evidence of at least two verification required training/certifications provided by the trauma center annually (including attendance)
Maintain evidence of at least two community outreach programs the clinical program center staff have provided in the last year.
Evidence of participation in the institutional (and wider as applicable) mass casualty /disaster committee (or equivalent) planning and education. Maintains records of training/drills engaged in by anyone on the clinical program team.
Evidence of participation in research as it relates to the outreach activities and at least one oral/ poster based presentation or publication based on the research or quality/performance improvement activity annually.
Evidence of facilitation of peer-to-peer support for clinical program patients and their families?
Evidence of how the clinical program supports community reintegration.
Evidence of attendance and participation in the clinical programs quality/performance improvement plan/process.
