Job Description

The Counter Sales Executive plays a crucial role in driving the retail operations of a company by directly interacting with customers, guiding them through the purchasing process, addressing their queries, and ultimately closing sales efficiently. They serve as the face of the company and need to possess an engaging personality and deep knowledge of the company’s products or services to provide an exceptional customer experience. Counter Sales Executives need to be adept at handling cash registers, processing transactions accurately, maintaining an organized counter area, and ensuring that all customer concerns are addressed in a timely and professional manner. Responsibilities

  • Welcome and greet customers warmly to create a positive first impression.
  • Provide detailed information on products or services tailored to customer needs.
  • Assist customers with the product selection by understanding their requirements.
  • Process transactions accurately, including cash, checks, and credit card payments.
  • Maintain clean and organized counter and product display areas at all times.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Stock shelves and ensure all display items are in their correct place.
  • Update customer profiles and manage customer database with accurate information.
  • Collaborate with teams to keep current on product knowledge and promotions.
  • Achieve or exceed monthly sales targets and contribute to team goals.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies to management.
  • Provide after-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification is required for this role.
  • Proven experience in sales, retail, or customer service environments preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Proficiency in using cash registers and processing various payment methods.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage counter inventory efficiently.
  • Positive attitude and outgoing personality to engage effectively with customers.
