Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- Carrying out the cleaning, blasting and painting operations in accordance with the relevant instructions given by Production management.
- Determine paint flow, viscosity and coating quality by performing visual inspections when mixing.
- Taking all safety precautions and protective measures required for the work.
- Maintenance of blasting and painting equipment as required.
- Maintain production schedules and manage time to complete tasks while striving for zero defects.
- Inspect product to verify that it meets coverage requirements.
- Ensure that the safety, quality and environment requirements of the yard are strictly followed.
- Perform other job related duties as assigned by the Production Management.
- Responsible for the general housekeeping and cleaning of area of working.
- All other duties as assigned
- Knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials, and application techniques common to the painting trade.
- Skills in the preparation and application of paints, stains, and surface preparation materials to wide variety of surfaces.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret work orders, shop orders, and work instructions to complete the tasks.
- Experience in related field gained in engineering workshop standards.
- SSLC or Metric Standard.
- Experience in related field gained in engineering workshop standards.
- Highly organised and efficient
- A team player, and take responsibility for own work environment and that of others.
- Manual dexterity.
- Standing, walking, lifting and other basic physical effort.
