Job Description

As an Automotive Spare Parts Store Keeper, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient management and distribution of automotive parts within the store. This position involves overseeing inventory levels, assuring timely deliveries, and maintaining an organized storage environment. You are responsible for ensuring that the right parts are available to meet customer demands quickly and efficiently, contributing directly to both customer satisfaction and store profitability. You will be the main point of contact for both suppliers and customers, helping to match their needs with the stock available. You will need to have a keen eye for detail, robust organizational skills, and an in-depth understanding of automotive spare parts to be successful in this position.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records for all automotive parts.
  • Receive and inspect shipments of spare parts for quality and accuracy.
  • Organize spare parts efficiently to optimize space and accessibility.
  • Assist customers in identifying correct parts and offer alternatives if required.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
  • Monitor stock levels and place orders to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Coordinate with the sales team to ensure customer orders are fulfilled promptly.
  • Implement inventory control systems to minimize shrinkage and loss.
  • Conduct regular audits of spare parts inventory and address discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized parts storage area.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing queries and resolving issues.
  • Stay updated with new automotive parts, technologies, and industry trends.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a store keeper or similar role in the automotive industry.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive parts and accessories is essential.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to manage diverse tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and stock control systems.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with suppliers and customers.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management and reporting.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy parts as needed, up to the required company standards.
