The College of Information Technology (CIT) is looking to hire a faculty member in Computer Science with a focus on Data Science and AI to build on the strength of its current research programs to create new multidisciplinary research initiatives and partnerships, across and beyond the university campus, critical to its long-term stability and growth. About the Position: We seek faculty candidates with strong research records in all areas of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, with a special emphasis on the theoretical foundations and applications of Data Sciences and AI/ML/Computer Vision in a wide range of fields including Smart Health Systems, Health Informatics, Cloud Computing, Robotics, Business Intelligence, Agriculture, and Decision Support Systems. Successful candidates are expected to complement and enhance current research at the College and contribute to the teaching of both undergraduate and graduate courses across programs. Candidate Qualifications: Candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree in computer science, information science or closely related areas from a recognized university. Preferred qualifications include:
Established record of discipline specific research publications in internationally recognized journals and conferences.
Demonstrated experience writing and securing grants and contracts.
Evidence of excellence in teaching and student supervision at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Ability to work collaboratively with faculty across multiple departments and programs. Faculty rank is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
