The Department of Integrative Agriculture seeks to fill this position in the Agricultural Resource Management Program. This position focuses on agricultural economics and agribusiness management, with an emphasis on agricultural extension and resource management. RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach, advise, and mentor undergraduate and graduate students
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in agricultural extension, technology transfer, community development, and technology transfer.
Advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students in a variety of academic endeavors Conduct research and procure both internal and external funding
Conduct effectively and disseminate research and outreach findings nationally and internationally
Seek and secure internal and external funding to support research, teaching, and/or outreach
Collaborate with other faculty members in support of the University, College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine (CAVM), and the Departments research mission and objectives. Actively engage in agricultural extension services, community development, and outreach to the department, college, and university outreach to the community in the United Arab Emirates and the profession.
Minimum Qualification
Candidate must hold a Ph.D. degree in Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension, Agribusiness, or a closely related field of study and must have documented research experience in the area of agricultural extension, agribusiness, agricultural economics, and resource management with an emphasis in marketing and supply chain management. Qualification requirements include evidence of potential to effectively teach undergraduate and graduate courses, research excellence, ability to develop and conduct research, and publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Preferred Qualification
A postdoctoral experience with a scholarly emphasis on agricultural extension, agricultural production systems, agricultural finance and risk management, industrial organization, food marketing, consumer economics, and/or agricultural and food policy is expected.
