We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic
Apprentice – Health and Safety to join our engineering consultancy team. This role offers hands-on experience in supporting health, safety, and environmental practices across various engineering and construction-related projects. Under the supervision of experienced HSE professionals, you will contribute to promoting a culture of safety and compliance within a dynamic project environment.
Your new role, whats involved?
- Assist in the development, review, and communication of health and safety procedures and documentation.
- Support site and office safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Help track and report on health and safety incidents, near-misses, and corrective actions.
- Contribute to maintaining safety records, registers, permits, and compliance logs.
- Assist in delivering toolbox talks, safety briefings, and training coordination.
- Learn about local safety legislation, industry standards, and consultancy-specific HSE protocols.
- Help monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe working practices on-site.
- Collaborate with project teams to support safe planning and execution of engineering activities.
- Support the preparation of HSE reports for clients and internal management.
Wed love to hear from you if you have:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Enrolled in or recently completed a course in occupational health and safety or a related discipline.
- Basic understanding of health and safety principles and the role of HSE in engineering environments.
- Strong willingness to learn, observe, and engage in practical safety tasks.
- Good organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work on-site and in office environments as required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
