An Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring the financial health and integrity of an organization. This position involves managing and maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, preparing financial reports, and providing insightful analysis for decision-making. The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of accounting principles and be adept at balancing multiple financial accounts with precision. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently are paramount. As an accountant, you will engage with various departments, offering financial guidance and helping to optimize operations. The role demands a proactive approach to resolving discrepancies and implementing financial strategies that support the company’s objectives. 


Responsibilities

  • Prepare and monitor financial reports monthly, quarterly, and annually with precision.
  • Maintain and update journals, ledgers, and other financial records consistently.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations promptly.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and offer strategic recommendations.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
  • Collaborate with other departments to prepare budgets and forecast future needs.
  • Reconcile discrepancies in financial records and reports professionally.
  • Prepare tax returns and ensure timely payments and compliance annually.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of internal control policies.
  • Manage company payroll functions to ensure accurate and timely processing.
  • Provide financial analysis to support business decisions with detailed reports.


Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in an accounting role, preferably with multiple accounts.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel minimum required.
  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to manage time effectively.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise between different departments.
