Network Engineer (225-1015)

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network systems. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the physical and software network infrastructure. This will include planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links. You will also troubleshoot network performance issues, as well as analyze network traffic and provide capacity planning solutions. The Network Engineer will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality technology solutions that support the business needs.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement network configurations to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Perform routine network maintenance tasks to ensure systems run efficiently and securely.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain high-quality service.
• Collaborate with IT team members and other departments to support business processes.
• Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to minimize network outages.
• Manage network projects to align with organizational goals and timelines.
• Conduct regular network assessments to identify areas for improvement.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of emerging network technologies and trends.
• Provide technical support and training for network-related issues to staff.
• Documentation of network configurations, changes, and processes for future reference.
• Research and evaluate new network products and services for potential implementation.
• Liaise with vendors and service providers to manage network resources effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in network engineering or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.
• Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools.
• Comprehensive knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing protocols.
• Proficiency in configuring firewalls, routers, and switches.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in network solutions.
