Job Purpose

• India Mechanical Commodity, leading the formulation & implementation of sourcing strategy for Mechanical commodity parts for Agriculture(AG) and Construction(CE) segment across all 3 CNH plants and Technology Center in India
  
  

Key Responsibilities

As the Regional Head Of Commodity, this leadership role within the Mechanical function is responsible for strategic oversight, team management, and driving performance across procurement activities. The role involves setting objectives, aligning purchasing strategies with business goals, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Primary And Secondary Duties

• Commodity strategy formulation and implementation with key stakeholders’ inputs.
• Supplier selection, negotiation, contract establishment in line with local/global strategy for new model/current product parts within target cost and time
• Ensuring Purchasing processes and system are followed to establish business contracts with suppliers as per DoA
• Leading annual cost negotiations (YOY, RM fluctuations, commercial cost reduction etc;) and support VA/VE initiatives with BCG team
• Managing material cost including raw material, economics, productivity etc;
• Budgeting of material cost, capital & revenue and monitoring of budget on a continuous basis
• Engaging key stake holders, both global & domestic, in developing a collaborative strategic sourcing plan for commodity & long term agreements with strategic suppliers
• Monitor, manage, and address the risks of supply base in delivery, finance & capacity
  
  

Experience Required

• 20+ years of experience in Off-highway/ Automotive/ Industrial industry preferred
• Exposure of purchasing/sourcing in a matrix environment (preferably with global sourcing experience)
• Experienced in sourcing, quality, costing, stakeholder management (including global businesses), team management, financial analysis etc.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking, change management, communication and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of supplier base and various manufacturing processes like stamping, casting, forging, heat treatment, proprietary parts manufacturing, assembly processes etc;
• Knowledge of Purchasing processes & system
