IT Engineer

Storage Management:

• Administer and maintain company storage infrastructure, including SAN, NAS, and cloud-based storage solutions ( AZURE Storage ), SAN Switches and Zoning.o Monitor and optimize storage performance and capacity to ensure efficient usage.
• Ensure data is stored securely and in compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to design and implement storage solutions based on the companys needs.
• Backup and Recovery Management:
• Configure, schedule, and perform regular backups of critical data using automated backup systems.
• Test and validate backup processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans, ensuring that backups are accessible for quick data restoration in the event of a failure.
• Monitor and troubleshoot backup jobs, addressing any failures or issues promptly.
• Ensure proper off-site or cloud backups for business continuity.
• Security and Compliance:
• Implement security measures for backup data, including encryption, access control, and regular audits.
• Ensure that backups are in compliance with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements.
• Work with compliance teams to prepare for audits and reporting of storage and backup data.
• Reporting and Documentation:
• Generate and maintain regular reports on storage utilization, backup status, and recovery testing.
• Document backup procedures, policies, and troubleshooting steps.
• Provide recommendations for continuous improvement based on storage and backup performance.
• Collaboration and Support:
• Collaborate with other teams to identify and resolve storage-related issues or requirements.
• Provide support for data restoration requests and ensure efficient recovery times.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data storage and backup solutions.
