About The Role
Our client is hiring a Sr. DevOps Engineer (Java) with strong expertise in CI/CD pipelines, cloud-native platforms, containerization, infrastructure-as-code, and backend Java development (Spring Boot, Kafka, Microservices). This role is ideal for engineers who are 70% DevOps focused and 30% Java-driven, and who can contribute to large-scale digital transformation programs across Fortune 50 companies.
Top Mandatory Skills
- DevOps Experience: 5+ years in modern DevOps practices
- CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab Pipelines
- Containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
- Cloud Providers: AWS / Azure / GCP (any one with depth)
- IaC Tools: Terraform / Pulumi
- Linux: Strong command line & OS-level understanding
- Scripting: Bash, PowerShell, TypeScript or Python
- Java: Java 8 or 17+, Spring Boot, Kafka, Microservices architecture
- Mentorship: Should have experience mentoring junior engineers
- Strong observability and monitoring knowledge (Prometheus, Grafana, EFK)
- Prior experience in consulting or client-facing roles
- Agile/Scrum delivery exposure
- Experience with configuration tools like Ansible, Chef
- U.S. client communication experience
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure
- Architect and optimize cloud solutions for scalability and reliability
- Lead deployment strategies across dev/test/prod environments
- Guide junior engineers and ensure DevOps best practices adoption
- Write automation scripts and manage containerized applications
- Support product teams in monitoring, security, and compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a global delivery model
- Other Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science or related field
- No job hoppers or candidates with frequent gaps
- Must have organizational stability
