JOB DESCRIPTION
Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence is pre-packaged analytics solutions for large enterprises. It is deployed on Oracle’s cloud and has numerous big enterprise companies as customers. The development team is focused on developing new BI with 12c Weblogic tech stack. Successful candidate will be in Cloud Engineering team of BI.
IMPACT AND SCOPE
Successful candidate will develop installer for BI and provisioning for Oracle Business Intelligence suite in cloud, new components from early stage requirements providing specifications through to implementation, QA and release. As senior developer, the successful candidate is responsible for entire life cycle of the product.
Cloud engineering team use technologies like Core Java, python, database with Weblogic server.
INDEPENDENCE AND DECISION MAKING
- Ability to make decisions based on input from customers, product management, development resources, dependent product release cycles and time constraints.
- Ability to manage and mentor staff to meet release time lines and to solve design and implementation challenges.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
- Experience solving challenging server side design issues in a team based environment, experience mentoring team members to solve such problems
- Shown technical leadership, guiding others to resolve technical challenges
- Cross team & dotted line experience and interpersonal skills to manage across multi-team priorities
- Being a cloud product, we handle all issues with SLAs and candidate should be ready to handle critical issues.
Technical Skills
- Server side Java development, Core Java, build process using Ant. Knowledge of XML generation tools and parsers required.
- Knowledge of Weblogic is required. Knowledge of Weblogic templates, WLST and properties are plus.
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix required.
- Knowledge of database required with JDBC.
- Experience using source control systems and development of QA test harnesses, Knowledge of git, jenkins is a plus.
- Use of Linux shell scripting, Python/Jython and other scripting languages, also other Oracle Fusion/middleware technologies a plus
- Knowledge of BI is a plus but not required. Candidate must be willing to learn BI.

- Ability to formulate solutions to multifaceted software development problems across technology platforms and stacks.
- Show evidence of innovative solutions to solve complex problems creating extensible and reusable solutions.
Education And Qualifications
Minimum university engineering degree, ideally in software engineering/Computer Science.
Responsibilities
As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
