WSP is looking for an Engineer to join our industry-leading Intelligent Infrastructure team in Bengaluru, Karnataka. We are expanding our Digital Infrastructure Design Capability across all areas and are actively seeking an individual who has a strong enthusiasm for digital technologies and digital design methodologies. It is crucial to us that our team members question traditional design practices, challenge the status quo, and conceive innovative solutions to enhance our design and delivery processes.

We operate as consultants, designers, and thought leaders, understanding complex design challenges, providing reliable advice, and creating designs that serve the best interests of our clients, maintenance personnel, and their customers.

A little more about your role… As an Engineer, you will be responsible for a range of engineering activities for Intelligent Transportation Systems. You will produce and review design drawings, calculations, and documents. Your role will involve planning and managing project delivery, ensuring designs are adequate and compliant with standards. You will collaborate with team members, lead the design process, and develop design drawings and documents. Your role will require a strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to navigate ambiguous situations, and you will contribute to the mentoring and development of junior staff.

What we will be looking for you to demonstrate:

Qualifications

• Mandatory Qualifications: Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering. A Master of Technology is a desired qualification.
• Experience: 4-8 years of working experience in the Intelligent Transport Systems and technology field.
• Mandatory Skills:
• CCTV design
• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD and Civil3D.
• Experience with ProjectWise and SharePoint.
• Strong skills in design review, code review, and report writing.
• Desired Skills:
• Experience with other ITS technologies such as Vehicle detection, Ramp metering, MIDAS, Telecommunication ducts and chambers, Equipment cabinets, and Emergency roadside telephones.
• Skilled in team management and collaboration activities.
• Key Competencies: The ability to work as part of a team in delivering designs and collaborating with colleagues from other disciplines. A strong understanding of roadside infrastructure and design standards is required.
