UI Developer (225-806)

A UI Developer, or User Interface Developer, is responsible for translating creative software design concepts and ideas into reality using front-end technology. They have a pivotal role in creating visually appealing and user-friendly applications that meet both functional and aesthetic requirements. UI Developers work closely with UX designers, graphic designers, and back-end developers to ensure that the applications developed are not only attractive but also provide a seamless user experience. Their role is essential in bridging the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how applications look and operate. As technology evolves, UI Developers must stay current with the latest industry trends and tools to ensure that products meet user expectations and business goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop intuitive, usable, and engaging interactions and visual designs for mobile and web applications.
• Collaborate with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and experience.
• Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering.
• Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
• Manage and collaborate in a team-based work structure and interact closely with other development teams.
• Develop and maintain design wireframes, mockups, and specifications as needed.
• Ensure that the visual elements of the designs are consistent with the branding of the product.
• Track new web technologies and incorporate them into actions and activities.
• Review and provide critical feedback on new designs, prototypes, and mockups.
• Work directly with developers to implement visual designs.
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.
• Consistently provide innovative design ideas and solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Web Development, Computer Science or related field.
• Proven experience as a UI Developer or similar role in the industry.
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other fundamental web development languages.
• Experience with interface design and responsive web design techniques.
• Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or others.
• Understanding of user-centered design and best practices for user experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
