Job Description

The Repairs & Maintenance Manager is a pivotal role in any facility, responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair operations to ensure all equipment and systems within the organization are fully functional and consistently meet operational standards. This role demands a proactive individual with strong leadership abilities, excellent organizational skills, and a comprehensive understanding of various maintenance protocols and safety regulations. The manager will collaborate with other departments to plan and execute maintenance schedules, troubleshoot issues, and implement cost-effective solutions for repair and maintenance. Additionally, the Repairs & Maintenance Manager is expected to maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, manage a team of skilled technicians, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all equipment and facilities.
  • Supervise and lead a team of maintenance and repair technicians effectively.
  • Ensure all repair and maintenance activities comply with safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to prioritize maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Manage inventory of repair equipment and maintenance supplies efficiently.
  • Coordinate and oversee repairs, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential issues promptly.
  • Track and report on the status of ongoing maintenance projects regularly.
  • Develop, implement, and review maintenance policies and procedures periodically.
  • Negotiate contracts with service providers and manage vendor relationships.
  • Train and develop maintenance staff on best practices and new technologies.
  • Ensure the maintenance team is operating at optimal efficiency at all times.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facility Management, or a related field desired.
  • Proven experience in maintenance management or a related supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of various maintenance procedures and safety standards.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills required for managing teams.
  • Proficiency in maintenance management software and relevant IT applications.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously under pressure.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.
