Job Description

As a Purchase Executive, you play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the procurement processes, ensuring that the organization secures the best quality materials, products, and services at competitive prices. Your responsibility extends to assessing vendor performance, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with other departments to meet their purchasing needs. You will also maintain a comprehensive database of suppliers, product categories, and inventory levels to facilitate informed decision-making processes. A successful Purchase Executive combines analytical skills with negotiation expertise to drive cost-saving initiatives while ensuring timely availability of essential goods. Responsibilities

  • Research and identify potential suppliers based on service and product quality.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing structures to achieve maximum savings.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key suppliers.
  • Coordinate with departments to forecast demand and set purchasing priorities.
  • Manage and evaluate vendor performance to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate orders to avoid stockouts.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies.
  • Conduct market research to anticipate shifts in supplier dynamics or prices.
  • Review and analyze quality issues with purchased products to implement improvements.
  • Ensure purchase documentation is complete and stored according to regulations.
  • Assist in developing and implementing purchasing systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with finance to track spend and identify cost-reduction opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
  • Proven experience negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess market trends and data.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems for tracking and analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with suppliers and teams.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
