Job Description

The HR Operations, Compensation & Benefits Specialist is a vital role within any organization, tasked with ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day HR functions, as well as the design, implementation, and management of competitive compensation and benefits programs. In this role, you will work closely with various departments to align HR strategies with organizational goals. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that compensation plans are equitable and aligned with the market to attract and retain top talent. Additionally, you will be responsible for administering benefit programs that cater to the diverse needs of employees. You will be part of a team that shapes the employee experience from onboarding to retirement. This role is instrumental in fostering a constructive work environment where employees can thrive and contribute to the organization’s success.


Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain HR operations processes and documentation accurately and efficiently.
  • Develop, implement, and manage salary structures and compensation programs.
  • Analyze and assess job roles to determine appropriate salary levels and salary adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in compensation practices.
  • Evaluate benefit programs to maintain a competitive edge in employee attraction and retention.
  • Facilitate communication of compensation and benefits policy to all staff members.
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure the alignment of compensation strategies with organizational objectives.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to maintain competitive pay structures.
  • Handle employee queries concerning HR policies, benefits, and compensation matters.
  • Prepare and present reports on compensation and benefit trends to senior management.
  • Participate in annual salary surveys and benchmarking exercises.
  • Ensure SAP or HRIS systems are accurately updated with employee compensation and benefits data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least three years of experience in HR operations or compensation and benefits roles.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and payroll software, with experience in managing employee databases.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated understanding of labor laws and regulations concerning compensation and benefits.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects with a strategic approach to problems.
