Backend Developer – Node.js (225-909)

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust and scalable server-side logic using Node.js.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications with strong performance.
• Create and maintain APIs for seamless integration with external services and components.
• Ensure the performance, security, and responsiveness of applications to front-end requests.
• Review and improve existing systems to enhance performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
• Implement automated testing platforms and unit tests to ensure code quality.
• Monitor and maintain the performance and availability of applications in production systems.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade software systems for optimal functionality.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies that can improve application performance.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience of 3+ years in server-side development using Node.js.
• Solid understanding of Node.js frameworks such as Express.js or Koa.js.
• Experience working with database technologies like MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with the entire web development process including design and deployment.
• Good understanding of microservices architecture and building RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of version control systems, mainly Git, for code maintenance.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
