Job Description

The Area Sales Manager for Tractors is a pivotal role within our agricultural equipment division, responsible for spearheading sales strategies to enhance our market presence and achieve financial growth. Reporting to the Regional Sales Director, the Area Sales Manager will be tasked with expanding our tractor market share, optimizing dealership relationships, and driving comprehensive sales initiatives across designated territories. This dynamic role requires a result-driven professional with a keen understanding of the tractor market dynamics, a passion for building client relationships, and the expertise to influence both strategic and operational sales aspects. The ideal candidate will not only possess superior negotiation skills and proven leadership acumen but also demonstrate a strong commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction in the agricultural industry.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets for tractors.
  • Build and maintain strong dealer relationships to enhance product visibility and sales.
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities to expand tractor customer base.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies to inform business strategy.
  • Conduct regular sales training sessions for dealership teams to improve product knowledge.
  • Manage sales forecast and budgets to ensure financial objectives are met or exceeded.
  • Provide regular sales performance updates to the Regional Sales Director and senior management.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional programs that drive tractor sales.
  • Coordinate with product development teams on customer feedback and market demands.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of product offerings to advise and educate customers effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with company sales policies and procedures across the sales territory.
  • Support after-sales service teams to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the agricultural equipment sector.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a proven track record.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities are essential.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and develop actionable insights and strategies.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the designated sales area as needed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software for sales management.
